Our year concludes in movements of contending and persevering: are you as eager as I am to see all that has happened to us worked into good and turned out for our deliverance?! I am happy to remind you on this New Year’s Eve of the hope that we have—
… continue in the faith, well-grounded and steadfast…not shifting away from the [confident] hope [that is a result] of the gospel that you have heard , which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven…
Colossians 1:23 AMP
I felt an extra resounding in the 1-2-3 verse number as the Lord led me to this Word. We lingered in 1-2-3s much this year (see The Wheat Prayers and Digging into the Roots of the Fall Feasts); what a precious reiteration of the Genesis creation, Genesis 1:1-3, as a crowning signal to continue in the faith!
The Crown Year
You may remember that I usually name these year-end reviews as “Happy Old Year.” Yet the 10-month coronavirus crisis that dominated 2020 seemed to declare a name for this year all its own. I still hold many happinesses from the year, nonetheless: much time with the Lord, my husband (we upped our tennis game!), and our family, and little time rushing around frenzied, Amen! I think America has just lived through a turning point, T’Shuvah, and our passion and adoration of God’s Word is more meaningful and mighty than ever.
You crown the year with your goodness
Psalm 65:11 The Voice
Grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

We, for our part, proclaim him; we warn, confront and teach everyone in all wisdom; so that we may present everyone as having reached the goal, united with the Messiah.
